Garage Sales

The Garage Sale Permit Application can be obtained here. Residents may also pick up a Garage Sale Application from the Municipal Clerk’s Office. The Municipal Clerk’s Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30AM-4:30PM.

Garage sales shall be conducted, exclusively, between the hours of 9 A.M. and 7 P.M.

The advertisement of garage sales shall be regulated as follows:

o Only one (1) on premise outdoor sign shall be permitted.

o Such sign shall not exceed three (3) square feet in size.

o Such sign shall be displayed only on the dates and during the hours of sale.

o Only (2) off-premises signs may be posted on a municipal right of way and not private property. Said sign shall be freestanding and not exceed 3 square feet in area, and shall be removed within 24 hours after the sale has been concluded.

o The name and address of the licensee shall be posted on this sign.

o No signs shall be permitted to be posted on such structures as telephone poles, street signs, trees or fences.
